[Ccf-board] Pastor's Report - November 2009

Greetings -

This past month has been filled with the details that make up this job.

Children's Ministries
    * Georgia, Mark, Leanna, Carolynn, Brad & Rich continue to switch 
in and out to cover Sundays for the little ones as needed.
    * Becca is leading worship music for the PreK-6th during music time.
    * We are transitioning to Christmas Pageant activities during 
children's church.
Administration
    * After much hassle with the church calendar, Nas and I discussed 
and began the process of transferring the church calendar. The new 
calendar will have several benefits one of them being that all of you 
will be able to view it online to matter where you are. I am hoping 
this makes things much easier, especially for Suean who currently has 
to drive to the church for everything.
    * Currently the calendar is in test mode. My goal is to have it 
accessible online today. Once it seems to be workable, then I will 
finish adding the archives.
    * Annual attic cleaning is in full mode and mostly done. A few 
additional containers are needed for finishing the process.
  Special Events
    * Planning is proceeding for all the holiday events on the calendar.
    * We are planning similar activities as in the past with the 
following exceptions/changes:
    * Thanksgiving - dinner instead of a dessert, food by the Board
    * Christmas Decorating - looking to add an activity besides 
decorating to make the day more fun and festive.
    * Christmas Gifts - looking to bake much of the goodies the kids 
will receive to cut down on cost and make it more from the church as a whole.
    * Pageant - will include a continental breakfast.
